Message from the Principal
Welcome to Huntley Elementary School! Our school, which educates kindergarten through fifth-grade students, is located on the north side of Appleton, just south of Northland Avenue and West of Ballard Road.
Huntley Elementary School has an enrollment of approximately 300 students and is home to two charter schools: The Appleton Bilingual School and The Ọmọladé Academy. The three schools work together to make one diverse community that strives to learn from each other, embrace differences, and achieve high academic achievement.
We are very proud of our staff members at Huntley. All are very well qualified in their particular disciplines and do everything they can to ensure that their students' year is productive, safe, and enjoyable. Our teaching staff consists of fourteen K-5 classroom teachers and staff that specializes in art, music, and physical education. We have eight special education teachers working with identified students and two full-time reading specialists working with students, parents, and staff.
Our school has a full-time counselor working with all students to strengthen their social/emotional skills to promote optimal achievement. Our part-time psychologist, social worker, and school nurse work with students as needs are identified. Beyond this, we have great support from paraprofessionals, parents and community volunteers, and our school secretary and building engineer.
Huntley’s active and enthusiastic Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) encourages parents to be involved in their school and their child(ren)'s education. Their involvement and support of enrichment activities, programs, and other important activities in our school is highly beneficial to our students, parents, and staff.
