Rhonda Buchanan

Rhonda Buchanan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor Degree in Education. She received licensures in specific learning disabilities and emotional behavioral disabilities in 1996. As a special education teacher for 18 years in the Winneconne and Neenah School Districts, she has a strong understanding of curriculum and making academic gains for all students. During her time in Neenah, she was also the coordinator for the after school Community Learning Center, which provided after school programming for disadvantaged students.

Ms. Buchanan earned her Masters in Educational Leadership Degree from Marian University. Her most recent experience was serving as a principal in the Oshkosh Area School District for six years at a K-5 elementary school. During her time in Oshkosh, the school she led earned Wisconsin Title One School of Recognition designation for Beating the Odds for three consecutive years.

In her free time, Ms. Buchanan loves to spend time in the Northwoods area swimming, hiking, paddle boarding and sitting by campfires with family and friends.

Corene Strohfeldt 

Mrs. Strohfeldt was most recently the Counselor at Janet Berry Elementary School in AASD and was an instrumental part of their school community since 2015. During her time at Janet Berry, Corene was a leader with Culturally Responsive Practices, Social Emotional Learning and PBIS, as well as an AASD summer school coordinator.

Prior to her time as a counselor in AASD, Corene was a counselor in New London at Lincoln and Sugar Bush Elementary for four years, and a cross categorical teacher for six years in both Kimberly and Appleton.
